Driver phones share GPS so students can watch the bus and its ETA live
Overview
Two Android apps share one Firebase project. The driver app runs a foreground location service that pushes the bus position to Realtime Database every few seconds, while the student app subscribes to its route and animates the marker on Google Maps. ETAs to each stop come from the Distance Matrix API through a small Node.js service, and students get a push notification when their bus is one stop away.
