Live bidding over WebSockets with anti-sniping extensions and history
Overview
Sellers list an item with a reserve price, bid increment and end time, and an admin approves it. Bids are sent over WebSockets and validated on the server one at a time per auction, so a bid must beat the current highest by the increment and only one can win a race. A bid in the last minute pushes the end time back to stop sniping, and every bid is kept in an append-only history.
