Vault encrypted in the browser, synced as ciphertext, with autofill
Overview
The master password never leaves the device: Argon2id stretches it into a key, and every vault entry is sealed with AES-GCM in the browser before it is synced. The server stores only ciphertext and a separate login verifier, so a database leak reveals nothing readable. A browser extension decrypts locally and autofills login forms on matching domains.
What makes it stand up
Module breakdown
Splits the Argon2id output into an encryption key and a login verifier.
Encrypts, decrypts and re-keys entries entirely client-side.
Stores versioned encrypted blobs and resolves concurrent edits.
Detects login forms, matches the domain and fills credentials.
Threat model covering server breach, phishing and a lost device.
