Overview
Renaming a column without taking the site down. Schema changes are split into expand and contract steps, so old and new versions of a Spring Boot app can run against the same database during a rolling release. Flyway migrations run as a pipeline stage against a disposable PostgreSQL first, a traffic generator checks for failed requests during the change, and each step has a written rollback. Runs locally and on free CI minutes.
